A culinary journey in the history of the Greek “mezes”
Gastronomy is the art of preparing and serving rich or delicate and appetizing food, the cooking styles of particular regions, and the science of good eating. Timoleon Diamantis, Greece’s Master Chef from Makrinitsa (one of the most famous Pelion’s villages), will be your ideal host. Timoleon will help you to wade into the local gastronomy in a more modern approach.
At this cooking lesson you will have the opportunity to collect and learn more about the seasonal vegetables of our garden and how you can cook or preserve them, to smell the aromas of the precious Pelion herbs and experience a unique culinary experience next to an acclaimed chef.
Enjoy this unique experiential culinary journey in the history of the Greek “mezes”, small dishes that were served in the famous “tsipouradika” (small taverns) in our region from 1922 until today. Peliongastronomy awaits you to discover it.
We welcome our guests with a cup of hot mountain tea or homemade sour cherry juice. The pie will be served on the table accompanied with seasonal salad and wine from the Greek vineyard. At the end of the lesson, we say goodbye to our guests with small gifts and participation diplomas.
